Moving Stories is for anyone who wants their colleagues, students, team or department to not only talk about diversity and inclusion, but experience it, believe it and find a renewed definition of the diversity spectrum and what you can do to create inclusiveness. To give hands and feet to strategy. To go from awareness to action. To have a concrete starting point to feel the importance of diversity and inclusion. Program I - Classic Experience

A program where participants experience DEI and designed to offer unique and memorableinsights. During the classic experience, participants have the opportunity to talk to Moving Stories who experienced stigma, discrimination and/or exclusion in daily life, with barely any background-story. After these conversations, we facilitate various proven reflection activities on an individual and meta level, adapted to the sector and context of the participants.

OBJECTIVES

  • Understand the aspects of your identity and personal background that shape how you interact and engage with others
  • Explore how your own biases, preferences and assumptions may have an impact on everyday behaviour
  • Enhance effective personal and interpersonal skills while exploring the diversity spectrum
  • Translate personal insights and learnings to the context of your organisation

Program II - Case study experience

The We Moving Stories Organisation writes - in collaboration with our community - case studies that present a deep and thorough description of a DEI challenge in a setting relevant to the context of the participants. These case studies are experienced and written by a Moving Story. After working on the case study, participants have the opportunity to meet, talk and reflect with the featured Moving Story.

OBJECTIVES

  • Create a safe space to explore the full spectrum of diversity and better understand stigma and prejudices.
  • Give knowledge and tools to navigate the do’s, don’t and needs of leaders in a business setting when it comes to managing D&I efficiently and empathically.
  • Know what are the main skills needed and the ways to become a diversity and inclusion change maker in a specific context.
